Using this Site

GreenDIY is a web site like any other on the web, but it's a special kind of site called a wiki. This means anybody can edit the content as long as they log in, but anybody in the world can read this content. This means we can have a really dynamic web site that's created and maintained by you as much as you'd like. So here are some tips on getting around in the wiki:

  • The top logo is your friend: click on the top logo to take you back to the wiki home page. This can be your starting point or point of reference for exploring further.
  • Search is also your friend. Look on the top right of the white part of the page. There's a text field with a search button. Enter in a word or two that you're looking for, and there you go.
  • The sidebar is your friend, too. I guess we're all about having friends. The sidebar on the left side will be updated regularly with the most recent new additions, events that may be of interest, whatever. For new stuff, or for getting around the site, the sidebar is helpful.
  • Green text represents a link. The wiki pages are covered in links to other pages. Interlinking is one of the neat things about wikis.
  • You can add discussion to almost any page if you want to add your input without logging in.
  • If you want to create an account and log in, you'll be able to edit pages and create new ones, which is pretty exciting. See the editing page for more information about doning this.
